Hi there guys...

Back from another gruelling, but fabulous weekend in Russia. Played in Kazan, and Ekaterinburg on Friday and Saturday - both gigs were amazing, but the travelling and lack of sleep was hardcore to say the least. I won't bore you with the details but basically I didn't get to sleep for more than 2.5 hours in a single session from thursday night until I got home on Sunday afternoon. Rough. But the experience made it more than worth it.

Don't know if you've seen the video from the weekend before, in Siberia - but you should check it out - one of my better videos, definitely... Am very conscious of the fact they seem to have degenerated to 'HeLLo this is me tired in the hotel, or in the airport' cut to 'Woooooooo! this is me in a club and its madddddd' etc etc. I'm trying to make an effort to be more entertaining on film, so please bear with me...

Did a special re-make of my track 'American Girls' for the Russian audience on Thursday night before I left, imaginatively entitled 'Russian Girls' - almost as good as my other one 'German Girls' - although I had to do this one in English cos Russian is way too hard for me to speak. Classic lines such as 'Red Square, Red Square, give me all your underwear' are in there... I've decided to give it away as a nice 320 mp3 - my friends in Russia are uploading it as we speak so watch out for the URL to surface over the next few days...

Oh, and if you've noticed the links to mixes and video on my main site www.john-b.com are down don't worry - basically the amount of data transfer was getting too much for the people that host that stuff, so I've just signed up with another host to help spread out the demand... I hope you realise I spend a lot of $$$$ just so I have the server power to give you lots of free mixes and video! :-) I know its all useful promotion etc - but just remember when I release my new album and you are deciding whether to buy it, or download it from eViL places like SOulseek... [I'll be fighting that with lots of fake mp3s again though, so watch out piratezzz!].

Hmm, what else has been going on. Well, I refreshed my Russian. I konw how to say: Hello, yes, no, cheers, tits, nice ass, pussy, cold, vodka. It got me a long way so far. Haha! I tried to learn more from this site: http://www.ilike2learn.com/ilike2learn/russian/ so maybe when i hit St. Petersburg next weekend I'll have a bigger vocabulary...

Ok, I'll stop rambling now. I'll give you a full report from my Russian trips next time, in the meantime here's the video of last weekend, in Omsk, Novosibirsk, and Moscow:

And here's some pics, the first couple are from the gig in San Fran last month, and the rest are a selection of fab ones from Ekaterinburg on Saturday - there's loads more I should have tomorrow...

These are from Club Fleda in Czech Republic from a while back:

Oh and this is the flyer for a gig I'm doing in Miami - at SpiderPussy - one of my fave nights out there, really cool electro/rock/anythingoez stylee...

And finally - I'm just getting the artork done for the sleeve of my new single "I've Been Stalking You On Myspace" and we need lots of stupid photos from your guys to use for the sleeve - classic dumb internetty, webcam kinda shots, holding up notes - kinda like these:

If you can do it fast, please take one (quality doesnt matter) and send in an email to jb@john-b.com - thanks!!!

OK, back to work for me! See you soon!

*edit* Here's all the pics from Russia took on my cameraphone - excuse the crap quality, but they are more real-life... Shame they can't convey how F****&&*&*&g cold it is at -25 deg C!

> From Russia with love <

Hi there folks! Lots of photos for you from the last 2 weekends... I'm sitting in bed on the laptop at the moment, just about recovered from World of DnB in St. Petersburg on Saturday night! Lufthansa lost my luggage in Frankfurt, on the way over from London, so I had to go out and quickly get an outfit and customise it in time for the show... Managed to get a smart shirt, cut it up with a knife, and I wrote on it "The Airport Lost My Bags" in biiig letters. The promoter lent me her makeup so that worked out ok - i just missed my nice ripped jeans and big oldskooool pony trainers! :-(

luckily my bags arrived on the next flight and they were waiting at the hotel when i got back from the party.

As you will see from the pics - the party was huuuuuuge! Had a great time and it was nice to play to such a massive crowd. If you were there and you noticed me climbing around messign with cables before my set, that was becasue only one CD player was connected and I needed 2, and the soundman had disappeared - hahah! So i had to findn cables for the CD player and connect it up adn move the other decks out of the way, while Future Prophecies were playing, infront of a crowd of 8000!! haha. Can't imagine Oakenfold doing that! But it was fun, I liked the dangerrrrr-risk of almost falling off the stage!

The whole party was amazing, great sound/lights/crowd/organisers etc - so thanks for everyone that came and I met and signed autographs for. It was broadcast live on National Russian Radio too, and I was interviewed for Russian MTV too. Woooohar!

Anyway here's all the pictures! Some of them are mine, but the really good ones were taken by one of the Russian Photographers, his info is on those ones...

> Edinburgh & Brighton this weekend <

Greetings all. Its Sunday night and I've pretty much been working all day, although I'm not sure what I've done... Worked through a million emails I seem to have started neglecting - including a bizarre cluster of about 15 autograugh requests from Germany, almost as if there's been a conspiracy on the continent to overwork me. Maybe its the hot lady at the post office just wanting me to go back more often. Hmmm.

Well, this week... Hmm. I got back from Russia on Monday night so I only had a few days back home to do anything, which has generally consisted of unpacking, making a mess of my house, getting more and more stressed with the work i have to get done before I leave for Miami on Wednesday and trying to get beach-fit! Oh, and drowing in media. THere are just so many photos and videos appearing from evey gig I do now its really hard to keep up and make sure I get them all on here. So bear with me... Please.

Did a remix for a band called the Alpine midweek. Turned out nice. It's a 125 bpm electroeytrancey house remix, hope they like it... What else? I resurrected my old iBook this evening, switched an airport card into it and updated all the software and erased all the crap that doenst need to be on there. WIll make a nice guestcomputer or something. Bought some wine from the gas station and had fish fingers for dinner. Watched CSI. Well the 1st of a 2 parter supposed double-bill except the 2nd one was a completely unrelated episode. Ghay. It was the one where a CSI dude gets buried underground and there is a ransom. I assume he'll get saved but I wanted to see how. Boooo.

Played in Edinburgh on Friday night which was nice. Quick flight and relaxing time in the evening. Stayed in a nice hotel and had Haggis for one in the posh restuarant on my own. Wanted to go and try out some sarging skills in the bar but it was really busy and I didn't spot any suitable targets. I read a book by Roy Valentine called 'the system' on the flight up there (yeah, it wasnt very substantial) and had a few new ideas, but generally it was a bit of a crap book, wouldn't reccommend it to anyone really. I gave it to my mate Steve, so I hope he'll take some of it in... A few good suggestions in there, but generally it was very USA-centric and mysogenistic. I quite liked his 1% rule though, although I thought it was a bit defeatist, and the cooking suggestions and eye contact ideas are good too, but you could have summed up the ideas in about 5 pages rather than 105 pages. Anyway. OH, I've decided to learn a bit of magic too, been reading some beginners books so by the time i make it to Miami I might be able to read your minnnndddddd!

Edinburgh was good anyway! Packed out, really good fun crowd, responsive when I went on the mic - lots of fun people, lovely girls and generally just good vibes. I gave Marc, one of the promoters a 'Stalking you on myspace' shirt which looked DASHING! Hahah. Flight home was delayed a bit cos a Virgin plane had popped a type when it landed - hope that's not the one I take on Weds...

WEnt for a nice 4 mile run in record (but chilly) time when i got back, then drove down to Brighton on Saturday which was ace. Steve did the driving and me and Martin just lounged and drunk wine. Steve's a legend, even when we eat flakey pastry drunkenly on the way home. I think im going to go down again in teh summer to see the sea... Had a great time at the Pressure Point - met up with my mate Maria - and saw some familiar faces in the place. My superfans from Chesterfield had driven down again - 300 MILES!!! and a car load of dudes from Leicester too! Respect to you guys indeed - thanks! When they pulled up outside the club I thought they were gonna ask directions to some other club, or have a go about my make up - but instead they blasted out 'Celebrity', one of my most electroey-80s tracks and were going mental asking me to play more electro stuff later! Quality. Think things are finally changing, really positive and encouraging! Hurrah! Generally had a fun time and managed to persuade the promoters to let me play 1 and a half hours instead of the 1 hour it had on my information... Sorry to all the people that they bouncers were clearing off the stage - I didn't mind you all being there, but they had some house rule about it, so it was restricted... errrg...

Anyway, I gota go, really must edit this video from Russia so you can see how massssssive it was at WODNB in St. Petersburg last weekend...

Anyway, here's Napalms pics from Edinburgh, and the amateur ones at the end are from my cameraphone from Brighton...
